The Inspiration:

Have you watched the “Great British Bake-Off” for all ten seasons like us and wondered what it might be like to bake in a large tent on a rambling estate in beautiful green England under the watchful piercing blue eyes of Paul Hollywood? Well, none of that is going to happen here, however, after weeks of social isolation and more Netflix and board games that you thought was possible – we bring you the Great Isolation Bake-Off 2020.

What you need to do to get involved:

• Sign up for an account – click Sign Up, then verify your email address.
• Once you are verified and logged in you can pick a challenge by clicking the Challenges button.

Once you click on a challenge you will be able to see what ingredients you will need to bake your masterpiece. You’ll be provided with a recipe to follow and a list of ingredients & equipment. In true ‘Bake-Off’ style you will be given a time limit within which you must bake your goodies.

Don’t push Start until you have yourself organized & ready to go.

Once you have completed the challenge you can upload a picture of your baking & your score.

Judging

Your baking prowess will be judged by a person of significance to you who can be relied upon to provide honest yet constructive feedback: partner, adult child, flat mate.

Pets are not considered reliable sources

You will be judged on the following categories:

• Timeliness
• Presentation
• Taste

All categories will be judged from 0 - 10 (10 being the best)

In addition you will be judged by fellow bakers based solely on what can be derived from your submitted picture.
